Soccorso di 400 migranti in mare, arrivo a Reggio Calabria domani

A record number of migrants and refugees have arrived on the Italian island of Lampedusa in recent days. Lampedusa's city council declared a state of emergency on 13 September evening after a 48-hour continuous influx of migrants. In the morning of September 14, nearly 7,000 migrants were on the island. Domani mattina è previsto l’arrivo a Reggio Calabria di circa 400 migranti, a bordo della nave “Diciotti”. Questo gruppo di migranti è stato soccorso in mare di recente dall’unità della Guardia Costiera. La Prefettura di Reggio Calabria sta lavorando per organizzare l’assistenza ai migranti dopo lo sbarco. Si sa che nel gruppo ci sono molte donne e minori.
