Innovatec e SENEC siglano accordo per 100 MW di impianti fotovoltaici in Italia

Innovatec Group, through its subsidiary Elios Power, and Senc Italia, part of the German group EnBw, have signed an agreement to develop and build photovoltaic plants with a total capacity of 100 MW. The agreement, according to a statement, includes SENEC’s participation in both the project portfolio holding company and the investments required for the authorization process, subject to a positive due diligence. Elios will handle the activities to obtain the construction permits for the plants, while SENEC will oversee the entire construction process on an EPC basis until the plants are connected to the national grid. The completion of the projects is expected to take place by 2024.

“We have an ambitious goal, which we have shared with a partner of undisputed excellence like SENEC, a European leader in the energy sector, with a young and equally ambitious management,” says Antonio De Tata, Vice President of Innovatec Power. “To date, we have started the authorization process for over 450 MW of photovoltaic plants and we aim to achieve the same goal for at least the next three years,” he adds.

This close collaboration between two leading Italian photovoltaic companies confirms their role of excellence in the industry and their common desire to contribute decisively to decarbonization in Italy. “The signing of this agreement with Innovatec is a source of great satisfaction for our company,” says Vito Zongoli, CEO of SENEC Italia. “SENEC is a reference point in the industry internationally, and a partnership with a significant group like Innovatec will only strengthen this role. We firmly believe that the key to a sustainable energy future lies in photovoltaics and energy independence, and with Innovatec, we will make a strong contribution to achieving European sustainability goals by 2030. With these projects, we can also promote the development of renewable energy communities, where citizens and companies share and optimize the use of green energy, promoting energy transition and empowering local communities for a more sustainable future for all.”

Innovatec Group stands out as one of the very few entrepreneurial entities in the energy and environmental sector capable of offering an integrated and comprehensive range of solutions to meet the needs of the B2B and B2C sectors, energy efficiency, and environmental and sustainability services. SENEC Italia is one of the leading international manufacturers of storage systems, with over 100,000 units sold by 2022, and offers 360-degree solutions for energy independence to individuals and businesses. The company has received several awards for the quality of its products and services. Since 2018, it has been part of the prestigious EnBW group, one of the largest energy supply companies in Germany.

De Tata and Zongoli confirm that this strategic agreement could lead to further collaborations, both in terms of expanding the number of MW to be developed and built, and in terms of additional synergies between the two companies, including storage systems, an area where SENEC is a key player.

Since 2009, SENEC, based in Leipzig, Germany, has been developing and producing intelligent storage systems. The company is a leader in the storage sector, with over 100,000 systems sold. SENEC offers 360-degree solutions to increase energy self-sufficiency and achieve maximum autonomy and flexibility in energy management (photovoltaic modules, SENEC.Cloud energy solution, electric vehicle charging stations). In 2018, SENEC was acquired by EnBW, one of the largest energy supply companies in Germany, with over 100 years of history, 5.5 million customers, and a 2022 turnover of 56 billion euros. SENEC’s mission is to offer the freedom to produce, use, and share sustainable energy through storage solutions.
