Ferrero investe oltre 50 milioni di euro per la nuova linea produttiva dei Kinderini

Ferrero, the Italian confectionery company, has introduced a new breakfast biscuit called Kinder Kinderini. These milk and cocoa shortbread biscuits are produced in Balvano, a small town in the province of Potenza, Italy. This same town is also where the popular Nutella Biscuits are made, making Balvano an important hub for Italian biscuit production. The Kinder Kinderini biscuits will be sold both in Italy and internationally.

Ferrero has invested over 50 million euros in creating the production line for these biscuits. It took seven years to plan and design the line, and then just three months to assemble it. The construction involved hundreds of workers. This investment shows Ferrero’s commitment not only to creating innovative and high-quality products, but also to strengthening its presence in Italy and supporting the local community.

Alessandro d’Este, the CEO of Ferrero Italy, believes that the Kinder Kinderini biscuits will help strengthen the company’s relationship with consumers. He predicts that in the first year alone, over 300 million biscuits will be consumed, which is almost 5 biscuits per person.

The new production line has also created over 120 new jobs, in addition to the recent stabilization of existing positions. The line, which was developed internally by Ferrero, spans two floors and measures approximately one kilometer. It is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and uses advanced computer technologies to ensure the best quality in every phase of production, from dough mixing to baking, decoration, and packaging.

The Balvano factory has become a crucial facility for Ferrero, not only in Italy but also globally. The Nutella Biscuits are exported worldwide, and the company plans to do the same with the Kinder Kinderini biscuits. The entire biscuit-making process takes about 100 minutes per biscuit, from dough preparation to decoration and packaging. To ensure precision and meet strict quality standards, advanced vision systems have been installed. During packaging, a robotic system allows for a wide variety of expressions in each box. The result is a biscuit that perfectly combines tradition and innovation, reflecting Ferrero’s signature style.
