Antonella Clerici su La Prova Del Cuoco: “Mediaset rifiutò l’idea”
Antonella Clerici, in a recent interview with TvBlog, revealed that “La Prova del Cuoco” will always be her show. She talked about the beginnings of her career and how she approached Giorgio Gori with the idea of hosting a cooking program. Mediaset didn’t believe in the project, but Antonella was determined. Leaving Mediaset turned out to be a turning point for her career. She found Marco Bassetti, who had a format that lasted only half an hour, and together they developed “La Prova del Cuoco.” Fabrizio Del Noce later recognized the potential of the show and expanded it in 2001.
Antonella clarified that she was perhaps the only one who didn’t benefit financially from the move to Mediaset. She didn’t feel comfortable hosting “A Tu Per Tu” with Funari and ended up there out of spite. She had been promised “Domenica In” but was left without a proper hosting role. However, she eventually found her place on television with “La Prova del Cuoco,” a show that still holds a special place in her heart. She emphasized that she will never deny the format that gave her everything and often mentions it. She concluded by saying that “È sempre mezzogiorno” is a different world, but “La Prova del Cuoco” will always be her life and her greatest success.
